Rumblings & Bumblings: Lincoln Place Apartments, Mystery in Hollywood, Arts District

New, 2 comments

Every week we ask you to answer pressing questions from your curious, but ill-informed neighbors. Here are the answers to a short edition of Rumblings & Bumblings. Now taking next week's questions.

VENICE: On the question of how long those Lincoln Place Apartments will sit vacant, reader Troubled Mind writes: "The tenants won their lawsuit challenging the legality of the mass evictions and now the matter of damages is being argued...." A spokeswoman for the group confirmed to us the matter is winding its way through the court. And bonus: Reader anonymous claims to have quite a bit of knowledge about the developers, Aimco, and their attempts to drag out the case. Those Aimco fellows sound lovely.

HOLLYWOOD: Hollywood construction, so hard to keep up. A reader asks: "What is being developed at 1750 N. Highland? David Bolour and JPN Development?" This was a riddle! No answers. Tough times. Maybe for next week.

DOWNTOWN: Regarding the scaffolding up on the building across the street from Groundworks Coffee on Traction in the Arts District: "The scaffolding is because the facade is shedding bricks," writes reader Tim Quinn. Watch your heads, people.
