Variety reports that the Emmys have signed a 10-year agreement to broadcast the annual award show from LA Live's Nokia Theater. Beginning this fall, the Emmys will abandon The Shrine north of USC for the newer and bigger Nokia Theater. Many of the industry parties will also relocate to downtown venues. And in 2010, when LA Live and the Ritz Carlton are expected to be completed, attendees will be able to stay in one spot. "AEG and the TV Acad expect the entire Emmy experience to take place on the campus, eliminating the usual practice of driving to the show from hotels around the city (a tunnel will connect the Ritz to the Nokia), as well as chauffeuring from party to party after the Emmys."
