LACMA's Light Show Is Imminent

After a rain delay, Chris Burden's "Urban Light" sculpture at LACMA is finally done. All that January wetness pushed back the final concrete pour at the base of the sculpture, according to the museum's Barbara Pflaumer. Next up: Wattage! This Thursday evening, the street lights, a permanent installation at LACMA, will be turned on, and going forward, the lights will be illuminated every night from dusk to 11 pm or 12 am, says Pflaumer.
