Jeff Koons Train May Dangle By 2010

An art piece which does a fine job summing up the city's transportation situation, Jeff Koons' "Train" sculpture--currently being considered for LACMA--is undergoing a feasibility study, according to the LA Times. If it's decided the project is "engineerable" (not sure exactly what that means), then the smoking train could be up by 2010-2011. Also, LACMA is adding a Michael Heizer sculpture at 6th and Fairfax. And there's this depressing story about why a stretch of Wilshire Boulevard in front of LACMA won't be as walkable as the museum had hoped.
