After being stolen and cut in two, Dan the Miner is resting comfortably, reports Judy Moore, president of the Carthay Circle Neighborhood Association. "He's in LAPD custody, but since he is the victim and not the criminal, I'm assuming his accommodations are okay," wrote Moore in an email to Curbed. "He's city property, so no doubt it will take a huge number of people to repair him and re-mount him in the park. And time." In another email, Moore said officals are already talking about how to prevent future Dan-nappings. "LAPD had a few suggestions for keeping him safe, or at least safer, in the future," she wrote. "Putting him up higher is one suggestion." [Curbed InBox]
