The Daily Breeze reports that construction on the 582-room Terranea Resort has kept a "brisk pace," and is on track for a June 2009 opening on the bluffs of Rancho Palos Verdes. (This is at the former site of the Marineland of the Pacific theme park, 1954-1987.) What the paper didn't say was how long before the soil crumbles into Pacific and takes the first 2,000 square foot, three-bedroom, $2.25 million "ocean casita" with it. Keep an eye on that construction webcam!
