So much data to digest, but basically January sales were slow, slow, slow. Via the Times: "Only 9,983 houses and condominiums were sold in Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, San Bernardino, Riverside and San Diego counties last month, the first time sales fell below 10,000 since DataQuick began tracking sales totals in 1988." And the median price of a home last month was $415,000, which is 18 percent less than the peak median price reached last year, according to the paper.
