The foundation of a home in the 15000 block of Skytop Road in Encino cracked last night, causing the house, which hasn't been lived in two years, but which is undergoing renovations, to split in half and slide about eight feet down the road. Via the Times: "Earlier this morning, loud cracking could be heard as part of the house shifted several feet toward the front driveway." Some area neighbors have been evacuated. Officials believe that some type of moisture, ie, flooding, is to blame for the split. [LA Times]
