Last week's Rent Check feature included several okay deals and a couple of rentals that were questionable. As commenter Sirimiri noted, "Uh...some of those rents are actually a mortgage?" True, true. In fact, a friend emailed to remind us that we had recently visited the Edgeware home in November during an Open House, where we were the only people in sight and the freshly baked cookies remained untouched. The home had just suffered a price chop from $709k to $689, but apparently was still having problems. Via the original listing:
