Gussying up for June move-ins, under-construction apartment building Gardens at Wilshire is now sprouting a prominent Mohawk and a paint job. After a few delays, the building, one of many new apartment and condo developments going up in the area, will begin pre-leasing in May; a rep for the developer tells us rents will range from $1,625-$3,275 for units ranging from 501 square feet-1,328 square feet. Retail? Si. The developer is talking to a bank, and also considering the usual suspects: a coffee shop, a sandwich place, etc. And the Mohawk? We're told the rod is meant to give the building a more retro look.
