DOWNTOWN: As gorgeous as it is, the poor Brockman building can't find enough qualified owners. Down the rental road we go.

BEVERLY HILLS/LOS ANGELES: A new SoCal brought to you by the letters H and R. With the confirmed passing of the two measures, a huge, glam new hotel/condo development for BevHills, and an expanded transpo network for greater LA.

LOS FELIZ: Think of the elephants! City council orders stoppage on the contentious new pachyderm enclosure until a further decision can be made on its future.

SOUTH PARK: Get a free peek at the new Grammy Museum, which opens to the public this weekend.

SOUTH PARK: LA Live, the city's newest mega-development opens to fanfare and hisses. Whatever! Britney cut the ribbon, er lit LA Live's giant, fake Christmas Tree.

HOLLYWOOD: The transformation of Hollywood and Vine crosses another threshold, with the topping off of the W Hollywood hotel/condo mixer above the Red Line. At the celebration, we saw Chad Rogers' hair up close.
