Apartment Therapy Los Angeles says all the cool people will be painting their apartments yellow next year to ward off the recession-blues. The blog cites the Pantone Color Institute, which declares yellow, or more specifically, mimosa, as the hue needed to "provide an optimistic and influential glimmer of hope in 2009." The PCI's Leatrice Eiseman says you'll see the shade in design, fashion, and the home market. "I think it's just the most wonderful symbolic color of the future," she says. Sounds like her apartment is already soaking in mimosa. Fun fact: yellow goes great with green and purple. [Apartment Therapy Los Angeles]
