MOCA: Talk of Bailing Out, Pushing Out

The New York Times covers the troubled MOCA, noting the museum has operated at a deficit for six of the last eight years. Additionally, it would seem that the removal of either the museum’s director, Jeremy Strick, its board, or both, is imminent (at least that's how the NYT paints it). City Council President Eric Garcetti tells the paper: "There does seem to be a consensus forming that new leadership should be brought in to run the museum, that the board should be reinvigorated and there should be a paring down of the budget.” Previous coverage on the millions needed to keep MOCA going is here.
