Couches No More: Latest in Valley Street Art

New, 12 comments

This is worrisome, people. The Daily News' Dennis McCarthy reports on the story of two local artists who are cruising the streets, targeting such discarded items as important life-saving couches, and transforming them into art. Video evidence above. Ack: They cut the above couch in half, the separation representative "the rich and the poor," according to one of the artists. And here's the strange part--McCarthy writes: "They've been doing it for about a month and a half now, and somebody must like their work because it's usually gone in about a week, they say. Beats the time it takes the city to pick up the dumped items by about six months."
