Looking like a distant relative of the Hollywood and Highland complex, here's MaDang: The Courtyard, a forthcoming Koreatown mini-mall and possible pre-Wiltern show hangout. Located at Western, right above Wilshire, the mall is getting a South Korean-based movie chain, according to a Variety report that Angelenic picked up in June. Via the blog; "The 648-seat, three-screen boutique theater will run 45% of its flicks out of Korea, 45% from Hollywood and 10% from the rest of Asia. Along with Woo Lae Oak restaurant, the cinema will anchor the four-level, 100,000 square-foot Courtyard MaDang nearing the end of its construction phase." And here's what the official web site says: "CGV Cinema. Enjoy Korean movies with English subtitles and enjoy Hollywood releases with Korean subtitles."
