Some more news from Globe St's Bob Howard about the possible hotel/condo that would go up on the site of the Century Plaza. "The developers estimate that securing entitlements for the project would take about three years, meaning that construction would be completed at a time by which the commercial real estate markets are expected to have recovered." As Howard recounts, the 726-room Century Plaza hotel was sold in May to Next Century Associates, a partnership between local real estate investor Michael Rosenfeld and an entity in the D.E. Shaw Group, for $366.5 million. [Globe St]
