ConstructionWatch: Century City's Other Big Condo Project

It's looking a bit like a giant white bug in that first photo, but given the news that the Century Plaza at 2025 Avenue Of The Stars may be razed for a hotel/condo project, let's check in on construction of another Century City project, developer Related Co's The Century project. Located at 2055 Avenue of the Stars, this is right down the road from the proposed project--and one would imagine Related Cos would want more high-priced condos coming in to transform this area into a exclusive corridor. And one would imagine that Candy Spelling, who purchased the $47 million penthouse at The Century, would very much like to have a hotel restaurant/bar down the road. We'll meet you for afternoon gimlets, Candy. Meanwhile, even though this Robert A.M Stern-designed 42-story building looks nearly topped off, construction of the project won't be finished till December 2009.
