Shipping Container Gets Sexy, Sheds Its Clothes

New, 6 comments

Via Inhabitat, the latest shipping container news, all part of the continued obsession with these giant tin cans: Called the Greentainer, this 12-meter long container was designed by Italian firm Exposure Architects, and according to the blog, "the original shipping container was stripped down to its elemental structure and wrapped in glass. It comes equipped with a photovoltaic system that can supply all the heating and cooling needs of the space." Apparently these containers can be used as great, temporary spaces, like an art galleries or lounges. No, it's not affordable housing, but leave it to the Italians to make the sexiest shipping container we've seen.
