Remember Auburn 7, that under-construction Silver Lake development at 2748 Auburn Street (nearish the Edendale restaurant)? An open house was held last weekend for the seven-unit development, a notable project because it's one of the city's first developments completed under that new small lot ordinance. All the homes (townhomes?) are three-bedrooms and three stories (each home comes with a two-car garage); prices start in the low $800,000s. According to the developer, five of the seven homes are in escrow. And before everyone starts yammering on about whether this is too expensive or not, turn your attention to another Silver Lake small development: That much-loathed-by-the Silver-Lake-Neighborhood-Council development on Hyperion has sold all but one unit, according the MLS.
