New Revenue Stream: Guest Parking Passes

New, 19 comments

A reader writes in about another new revenue stream employed by the City of LA. We're sticking behind our idea to open the LA River Amusement Park. Via the inbox:

"Just went to get guest parking permits for an upcoming party. Within the last 2 years the guest day passes were $1/pc, then sometime in the last year I recall they went to $1.50. No biggie. This morning I found out they are now $2.50/pc!!!! 40 permits cost me $100! WTF?? Is this city budget issues? It’s like the airline industry now – they f*** you at the counter." Sadly, yes, the guest parking pass fees were upped in August. Happy Thanksgiving!
