Reader Poll: Silver Lake Spanish Renovation

New, 67 comments

Welcome to this version of "New To Market," our look at a listing with a reader vote. Consider this an unscientific way to take the buying pulse of a wary public. Feedback and nominees to the tipline, please.

A reader sends in this house, writing: "This house just came up in my hood, and it was soooo hideous pre-reno...but now it is rather gorgeous!" We have to agree, it's pretty good looking. According to the listing, this four-bedroom, three-bath is "an artful, modern reworking of a 1920's Spanish." The house, which is 1,794 square feet, is walking distance to Sunset Junction so you're just a quick walk to upscale cheese, coffee and gelato. The last sale price for the house was $655,000 in June 2007. Today's asking price: $979,000 or $546 a square foot. Listing is here and here.
