Westsiders will soon be able to play a proper game of golf now that city officials are moving forward with plans to restore the 15-hole Westchester Golf Course, reports The Argonaut's Vince Echavaria. "For more than two decades, golfers at the Westchester Golf Course near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) have teed off on only 15 holes, rather than the traditional 18 holes. The neighborhood course was originally built with the standard 18 greens but three of the holes were taken away in the early 1980s so that the airport could construct Westchester Parkway." Earlier attempts to get the holes restored have failed, according to the paper. [The Argonaut]
