This could be an earlier Daniel Libeskind rendering of 1340 Figueroa Street, the planned tower that was announced last night. And it may not be the rendering. But this image appeared on downtown blog Angelenic in September; they took the image off of a web site for Slab Architects, and referenced it for a post on the 1340 Fig project, noting how much the design had changed since the first released rendering. Is Slab working with Libeskind? It's not clear, but sources say there are similarities between this tower (both have prism-like angles) and the one that was shown last night at that downtown meeting. But apparently the bottom has changed from this rendering. Slab's web site is no longer working.
