A photo of actual people, rather than some monkeys, to show off at SLS: While technically not in Beverly Hills (hence the "at" part of the name; the Four Seasons at Beverly Hills pulls the same trick), the SLS at Beverly Hills is now open to the public, and yesterday a bell-ringing ceremony on the steps of the property marked its arrival. Faces you'll recognize on the stage: Councilmembers Jack Weiss and Wendy Gruel, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, and SBE executive Sam Nazarian (and that's his father Younes ringing the bell). Some more details from the event: It was pointed out that the hotel is bringing in $4 million in tax revenues for the city and creating 400 jobs. Additionally, in his remarks Weiss pointed out that the hotel--which is located at 465 S. La Cienega Boulevard-- stands across the street from the original Fatburger.
