Not the Vegas strip, no. The nasty strip. The name for area of grass in front of the street, the strip that attracts lint, plastic straws, and other oddities. A reader writes: "Can you please shed some light for me on this topic....The grass area in front of my apartment building (rental) is weedy and covered with dog shit, plus people dump their furniture trash there sometimes. But the grass area is between the street curb and the sidewalk, so is this area technically the responsibility of the apartment landlord to keep clean or the city of Los Angeles? Basically, who can I complain to about this unsightly and gross mess. It's a blight on the building and neighborhood." [Curbed InBox]
