Construction Watch: Gold Line Stop in Little Tokyo

New, 3 comments

As reported in yesterday's linkage, the eastern extension of the Gold Line is now 87% finished. Progress on the Little Tokyo station is apparent since our last visit in May; the station, and the whole darn line, will open in less than a year, according to Metro. Those weird tree/umbrella things seem to mark the start and end of the boarding platform, and work to shield riders from the sun. Rendering is in the gallery. Immediately behind the station is the site of The Nikkei Center, a planned mixed-use development with 390 rental units and takusan retail. Rendering via Angelenic.
