Continuing with our never-ending shipping container coverage: Recently featured on "Colbert Report," this home is distributed by PFNC Global Communities (PFNC stands for "Por Fin, Nuestra Casa," or Finally, a home of our own). Based in New Mexico, the company's "goal is to provide housing to those who most desperately need it around the globe." According to the PFNC's site, these homes cost less than $10,000 and come with kitchen, bathrooms, and more. The prototypes look like they measure about 320 square feet and sleep 2-6 people; the web site also notes these homes can be stacked around parks or courtyards.
