New, 17 comments

FROGTOWN: Circle of life: The long-vacant old Riverside Drive gas station that got marked up by graffiti artist Skullphone has a new sign up announcing the forthcoming arrival of a seafood outlet. "Wholesale to public." You can run out and throw a bag of fish sticks in your trunk while you're sitting in Dodger traffic. [Curbed Staff]

WEST HOLLYWOOD: This Thursday, the MAK Center for Art and Architecture will present a screening of "The Garden," a film about the fight to save the now-demolished South Central farm (a Forever 21 distribution complex may rise on the site). More via the press release from MAK Center: "This award-winning documentary chronicles the complex and emotional story of the destruction of Los Angeles’ South Central Farm...“The Garden” won a Sterling Award for best U.S. feature at the 2008 SILVERDOCS." There will also be a Q & A with the director afterward. You see a preview of the film here. [Curbed InBox]
