CNN's Huge Recording Screens Are Slightly Confusing

Strange-looking recorder interfaces have cropped up on at least two Sunset Boulevard buildings, including the CNN building. But what do these images mean? And do you care? UPDATE: There's a reference to McNally or something close to that in the bottom right of all these signs.
