Despite promises to get things going in first quarter 2008, developers for downtown project Park Fifth now state they won't break ground until third quarter 2008, reports Angelenic. So what's the deal? In an email to Curbed, project spokeswoman Stephanie Holbrook wrote that "regarding the push back to the third quarter groundbreaking timeline, Park Fifth does not expect to have final entitlements for the project until the end of May...[until] formalities are finalized, one would not start construction of a major project." Alrighty then! She also said the project has 300 reservations, and that yes, Park Fifth will still be the largest tower west of the Mississippi when completed. "The shorter tower will be completed in 2010, before the taller one," wrote Holbrook.
