It may look tagged up and scruffy, but the Hewitt Lofts project on Hewitt and 2nd is just a few months away from completion, says Salar Royaei, who is working on the 33-unit building. Yet another adaptive re-use project in the increasingly fancy Arts District, the building will be done by May, according to Royaei, who dropped words like "bamboo" and "luxurious lofts" and "solar power" when speaking of the units. Prices, you ask? The units, which range from 800 square feet to 2,500 square feet, start in the $400,000s. How many have sold, you inquire? He wouldn't say. Stop being nosy.
