Storefronting: Skate or Shop, Plus More Beverly Hills Boutiques

WEST HOLLYWOOD - The nexus of the streetwear/skateboard apparel seems to be converging around the Melrose and Fairfax hub. Action sportswear company DC is the latest to open at 8025 Melrose Ave; their store features "all DC collections, including their artist collaborations. They currently have the new SSUR collab in stock and also show artwork by Methamphibian in store." We have no idea what that means, but it sounds cool. [Photo via Patronius Funk]. [PF]

BEVERLY HILLS - Despite the Rodeo Drive location, $28,000 crocodile bags, and a separate entrance for the rich and famous, Jimmy Choo's president claims she "really wanted to create an intimate, feminine space that was non-intimidating, like a friend's living room." The shoe (and accessories) store opened right before New Year's at 2 Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills. [LA Times]

BEVERLY HILLS - Forget American Apparel. If you long for the halcyon days of Calvin Klein's trou-dropping, porn-in-the-basement advertising perhaps you can relive some of that 1990s glory at the new Calvin Klein store opening in the Beverly Center this weekend. And Daily Candy tells us the first 100 people to spend $100 receives "a free 1.7-ounce fragrance of their choice." [Daily Candy]
