City Council Tackles Transportation Plan, Funding

New, 5 comments

On top of Mayor Villaraigosa's traffic relief plan, which he'll unveil today, the City Council is hearing testimony today on funding of the city's transportation plan, which as we all know doesn't exist. Councilmember Wendy Greuel (CD2) noted LA has been without a plan to tackle traffic for 20 years. Funding the system seems a huge task, particularly considering the Subway to the Sea will cost $300 million per mile and a maglev system would run into the billions.
