On a warm night last August, multiple Venice residents noticed a mysterious and potentially evil hum emanating from...the beach? The sky? The ground? Well, before you break out your tin foil cap and subscribe to PARANOIA magazine, we may have an answer. An email with the header "Mystery of evil hum solved" arrived in the InBox over the weekend. Writes a reader: "I experienced the evil hum the night [of Jan 25th] from 12-2 in Venice. I spoke to the police today who explained it as a gathering of 30 to 40 bikers. These prolonged group harley revs explained the rising and falling, thunder-like drone you have periodically heard near the beach." Mystery solved.
