This week's top dish from Eater LA, Curbed's restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog...
[The old Lowenbrau Keller and...the new Medusa?]
1) Goodbye Belle Epoque, hello Little Dom's. Beverly Hills Italian eatery Dominick's little sis finally opened in Los Feliz this week.
2) This restaurant is doomed. Plagued by "electrical issues," lack of hot water, allegations the staff hasn't been paid, and no public records from the health dept, downtown eatery Mode seems like a sure-fire miss.
3) Echo Park gets a wine bar, downtown's yogurt runneth over, and Beverly Hills has a Luau.
4) Fans of Lowenbrau Keller, the teutonically-inclined restaurant that closed last year, can rejoice. It's back in the form of Medusa. While the "vaulted ceilings, the fantasy, the Teutonic decor are very much intact," gone is the schintzel. In its place: Asian and French-influenced cooking.
