The first battle between the City Council and the Planning Department over preservation of Downtown's industrial land appears to have gone to the City Council, who delivered a swift kick to the face and calculated sweeping of the leg, leaving the planners bloodied and dazed. Via email: "The AMP Lofts project at 6th & Santa Fe that became part of the debate over the displacement of industrial property by residential in downtown LA was unanimously approved today by the L.A.
