Another photo and more information about architect Peter DeMaria's latest shipping container home "Aegean." DeMaria, who famously put up that Redondo Beach home, says this model is a one-bedroom, one-bath home. It's made from two shipping containers, is covered in an exterior skin of wood and has a cement roof. As DeMaria points out, there are "people who can't get over the stigma of a container home, they think of it as a rusty box," so this is a more "finished" option. Size: 680 square foot interior, 800 square foot exterior. Prices aren't finalized, but DeMaria is guessing this model will start at $150/square foot. Rusty boxes are the future, people, so get ready!
