BURBANK - While the residents of Venice prepare for battle for the 'Bucks onslaught on Abbot Kinney (we expect a very strongly worded editorial and perhaps a hand-made placard or two outside the site any day now), on the other side of the universe Burbankians greet their new 'Bucks. The new store is on Glenoaks and Keeler and is hiring soon-to-be-striking writers baristas right now.
BEVERLY HILLS - Daily Candy reports that Belgian designer Martin Margiela has opened his first West Coast store on Santa Monica in BH. Apparently, no two Margiela stores look alike. Take that, Gap.
BEVERLYGROVE - Wedding season may be over (is it ever over really?) but Blackburn & Sweetzer reports that Jenny Yoo Bridal has opened in her hood on Beverly Blvd. The store is just west of Sweetzer and joins relative newcomers Joseph Walker (an Eagle Rock transplant), and Scent Bar.
LOS ANGELES - H&M sprinkles its inexpensive-yet-trendy seeds all over town. The company's Craigslist post lets us in on a little "secret:" H&M IS OPENING MORE STORES THROUGH OUT THE LA AREA!!! Note to H&M HR - it's not a secret if you post it on the Interweb. But it's good news for those wondering when the Hollywood and Weho locations were opening. It looks like we're getting closer: "Locations include Hollywood, Sunset Plaza, Beverly Center, Pasadena, Santa Anita, and Topanga."
