The NY Times shows a little love today for the upcoming MAK architecture tour featuring A. Quincy Jones. In fact, the Times devotes half of its Currents slide show to the tour, taking place Oct 7 and featuring Jones' own studio in West Hollywood, as well as a few of his still-extant homes for the Mutual Housing Association, a cooperative community in Brentwood. Bonus! There's even a Kappe included on the tour. One of us has the very-official sounding title of docent captain (our mother would be so proud) for the Jones studio, and the MAK center is still looking for a few volunteers. Contact Angelica Fuentes at the MAK if you're interested.
