CurbedWire: Goodbye Hollywood Skeleton?

HOLLYWOOD - Breaking news from the corner of Sunset and Vine. Apparently, the S+V Tower may finally be getting some skin. A reader did a drive-by and reports: "Drove by the skeleton building at Sunset and Vine and noticed that they had begun to put the glass"skin" on the lower section of the east-facing side of the building. Looks like they have tons of panels on hand. Perhaps the skeleton is finally getting it's skin!? " [CurbedWire Inbox]

EL MONTE - There's apparently an El Monte fan club out there, as we received several notices that the El Monte transit oriented development project was approved last week. Here's a quick blurb: "The development will include 1,850 residential units, 560,000 square feet of retail and entertainment, 500,000 square feet of Class A office space, a 200-room hotel, theater, conference center, child development center, restoration of historic structures, and over 11 acres of active and passive parkland." It will be the largest TOD project in SoCal. [CurbedWire Inbox]
