Bulldozer razes last Chavez Ravine home [LA Times 1959]

Behind the silver lining of the Dodgers move to Los Angeles 50 years ago is the dark cloud of Chavez Ravine, the Mexican-American neighborhood bulldozed for Dodger Stadium. The blue sky behind that dark cloud might have been Elysian Park Heights, the public housing project designed by Richard Neutra. But it was canceled before construction ever began.
