There was some concern a while back on the blog that the residents at 655 Hope, an adaptive re-use of a downtown office building, wouldn't be able to open their windows. A rep for the building confirmed to Curbed this morning that indeed, none of the windows open. Not even a crack. OK, now we feel sort of claustrophobic and panicky looking at this casket-like building. But the sales agent, who was actually really nice, assures us that there is an excellent ventilation system, and a spacious rooftop patio. And other big cities have windowless residential buildings, right? 655 Hope is in pre-sales FYI; units cost $400,000-$900,000.
