Annoying Pico Signs Are Also Illegal

Yesterday, the chatter on Curbed indicated that those blue for-sale condo signs (spotted on Sunday morning on Pico) may be illegal. But at least one person told us maybe the sellers of the apartments got a permit for the signs. To get an answer, we emailed the Pico pictures to the Public Information Director at the Board of Public Works. Excerpt of what she wrote back:

"I just spoke with Street Services. All signs on public property are illegal. Please call 213-847-6000 to report & file this complaint. I've also forwarded this e-mail to Street Services Investigation & Enforcement Division." Plus, she added that permits aren't given for street signs. Sneaky condo sellers.
