Sweet jesus, someone finally woke up and noticed all those Italian fortresses going up downtown. From the Downtown News: "Officials at the Community Redevelopment Agency halted the spread of the Italian Renaissance in Downtown's housing market last Thursday, when they denied an approval to the controversial developer behind the villa-styled Orsini, Medici and Visconti apartments."
Among other things, opponents found the design "distasteful" while others "cited [a] distrust of the developer," according to the paper.
