Curbed LA Pricespotter Big Reveal

Co-editor Josh likes to make excel charts. We do not. Thus, no helpful visual cues for this week's Pricespotter. Just the satisfaction Claudiajean now feels knowing she (he?) was spot on.

Asking Price: $1,325,000
Listing: We still feel abject disappointment at architect Karin Liljegren relatively unexotic New Jersey-provenance. C'mon Karin, just tell us you're from Denmark. The listing goes on to describe a "live/work loft compound, 2 houses on lot in the heart of Culver City. Set back from the street, a new 3-bedroom 2-1/2 bath main house with tall ceilings, radiant concrete floors, plenty of light and cross-ventilation. In front, the original restored 1920’s bungalow is perfect for a home office, art studio or legal rental income, with 2 bedrooms, new kitchen and hardwood floors. Joining the two homes together is a covered lanai. Dwell magazine would approve!"

As we mentioned, Claudiajean was spot on with his or her guess of $1.325 million, but many of you were in the ballpark. We prefer to think of the rest of you as the "honest" ones who don't bother to look it up in the MLS. Our high bidder was Raul with $2.3 million and our low baller was John LAX at $995,000. But if we bothered to make a chart, we'd guess most of you would fall within one standard deviation. Thanks for playing and we'll be back later this week!
