Residents Fight Angeles Fields

Earlier this week, Lynwood residents marched in protest of the Angeles Fields Project, a development that'll consist of about 1.2 million square of big box retail, a performing arts center, a stadium, and lots more (two renderings above). According to the Los Angeles Wave's Marisela Santana about 1,000 families would be displaced by the development, so it's a pretty emotional and tense situation going on in Lynwood. Think prayer vigils, allegations of contaminated soil, and potential recalls. More colorful digital renderings of the whole enormous development here.
