Forget That Three-Floor Target, SoCal Now Has SuperTarget

After we wander the empty aisles of Glendale's new three-floor Target store this weekend, we're planning a special trip around this: Moreno Valley has quietly (to those of us west of the 15) opened California's first SuperTarget store. What's so super about it? Enlighten us, Wikipedia:

SuperTarget is a chain of hypermarkets that are about 175,000 square ft.... Like Target Greatland, SuperTarget features double entrances on one story stores... They carry everything a Target or a Target Greatland does as well as a grocery store. Moreno Valley's SuperTarget opened this month with 186,077 square feet. That's 6,000 more than the triple-decker in Glendale (California), but 14,000 short of the largest Target in the world, in Glendale (Colorado). Westside Rentals already touts SuperTarget-adjacency as justification for $1,600 rent more than 70 miles from anything remotely considered westside.

To get there, take the 60 east - way east, even past Tesco's new distribution center at March Air Base - to 27100 Eucalyptus Avenue in Moreno Valley.
