Glendale cares. Why else would the city build a $2.7 million, 44,437 square-feet park and rocket-themed playground a mere six-lane artery (and Rally's Burgers parking lot) from its newly-occupied $23.5-million workforce housing project?
Fans of landscaper David Volz - and who among us hasn't succumbed, really, to the interactive water features at Fountain Valley City Hall - mark your calendars. Based on a drive-by last week, Cerritos School Park should be ready to take down chain-link in plenty of time for the October 2007 grand opening.
Word is LA kids can play there too - if they survive the crosswalks at San Fernando Road.
