From the annals of weird real estate transactions: According to Forbes, the town of Bridgeville, population about 30, is back on the market for $1.3 million, after just being bought in August 2006 on eBay for $1.25 million. The town was the first ever to be sold on eBay, back in 2002 for $700,000. The town includes eight houses, a post office and a cafe, apparently invisible to the watchful eye of Google's satellites.
The 2002 buyer was Bruce Krall, an Orange County banker. Our 2006 buyer came from even nearer environs - Daniel La Paille, 25, a Los Angeles entertainment manager and college student, who apparently shot himself in the chest in November, putting a halt on town improvements.
Try as we might, we searched all over eBay but couldn't find the listing for your linking pleasure. Could it all be over already?
