Among other things, we learn the 1913 hotel was formerly called the Hotel Stowell; Charlie Chaplin lived in the joint; it's listed on the National Register of Historical Places; and the "ground floor boasts what is largely thought to be the largest area of intact Batchelder tile in the world."
