El Dorado, El Dorado

Renderings and images popping at the web site for the El Dorado, the forthcoming 12-story, 65-loft sales building. Among other things, we learn the 1913 hotel was formerly called the Hotel Stowell; Charlie Chaplin lived in the joint; it's listed on the National Register of Historical Places; and the "ground floor boasts what is largely thought to be the largest area of intact Batchelder tile in the world." And sometimes the building glows a menacing toxic yellow. The site also has a pre-qualifying info page for those interested.
